Warant for arrest...find out what happens if you surrender?

Hi ... My boyfriend missed a court date for monitoring him after a demestic violence ..plea bargain. The police will not tell him anything.. just come down to the station. Will he be penilized for not surrendering if caught? can a lawyer find out more if retained?

Do not get your legal advice from the police. Do not go to the police station, there is a warrant and he will be arrested. He should go to the clerk's office at the courthouse at 8:30 AM sharp and have the case file put in front of the judge. Then he can make his explanation to the judge, and, in all probability he will not be jailed. The time to retain a lawyer was before taking a plea bargain.
