if i have no prior felon conviction and i get charge with a handgun how much time can i get ?

It's not illegal to possess a gun unless you have a prior felony or are otherwise prohibited under the law from having one.

There are charges for having a loaded gun in public, a concealed gun in public, using a gun during the commission of another crime, being armed with a gun during certain offenses, etc.

You need to be more specific. Better yet - you clearly know you're being either charged or investigated. It's your future. It's probably worth a consultation with a good criminal defense attorney for a face-to-face conversation about what's going on.
