Re: welfare fraud

If you were convicted or plead guily/no contest to a criminal charge and did not go to prison, your matter is capable of being expunged. You can attempt this on your own or hire an attorney. You may want to at least talk to a proffesional before you attempt it on your own. I'ld be more than happy to talk to you. David Wallin at www.wallinlaw.com

The word you are looking for is "expunged" not sponged. You can file a motion pursuant to penal code section 1203.4 to have the conviction reduced to a misdemeanor (if it was a felony) and/or dismissed by the Court. Judicial Council forms are available for that purpose. You will need to fill the forms out, make copies, serve the district attorney's office and the probation department, file the forms with the court and then appear at a specified court date and time. If you don't think that you can do this properly on your own then I would suggest that you hire an experienced defense attorney to assist you.
