My wife told me about a sexual encounter she had with a minor 15 she was 28 . Happend before we were married no charges have been filed . What could she face ?

That depends on how long ago it happened. The limitations period may already have expired. Even if it hasn't, it's quite possible nothing will happen as a result. Does anyone else know about the encounter? Is there reason to think anyone will find out?

Even if the authorities do learn about the allegation while there is still time to bring charges, they may decide not to prosecute if they believe they will be unable to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. There are many reasons why they might make such a decision.

Finally, let me note that my answer assumes this encounter happened in California. If it happened somewhere else then the laws of that state or country would govern.
