Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
What will happen if I sign someone else's name at a pawn shop but use my fingerprint?
I signed her name because she is 18 & you have to be in order to pawn something..
She has pawned there before therefore her actual thumbprint is already on file.. What will happen when they realize they prints do not match?
When you pawn things do they go on your record or something? Will I go to jail for forgery or identity theft?

You should never sign someone else's name to something, unless you have that person's consent in writing to sign their name. In fact, it is a really good idea not to do it at all.
