Will Live Scan cause me problems if I have an OOS misdermeanor warrant

I'm applying for a promotion at my current job in California. I have a warrant that I'm planning on taking care of next time I'm in New Mexico (had issues with completing a DUI first offender's program ordered by NM courts while in San Diego... bureaucratic problems.) So anyway, I had to submit to a Live Scan check, and I'm wondering if this will come up on it, and if so, if it will stop me from getting the promotion. Thanks for any help!

The DUI conviction and the misdemeanor warrant are both likely to "show up" in the Live Scan results. Whether or not it can or will prevent you from getting the promotion is another issue altogether. You should talk to your supervisor immediately and advise him/her of your concerns. It may be better for you in the long run if your employer found out about your misdemeanor warrant from you personally instead of through the Live Scan process. But that's your call... Regardless you should contact an attorney in NM to take care of business in order to clear your warrant so this isn't a continuing issue in your life.
