which writ do I use?

Ihave a court order(abstract of judgment) the person who owes me money is in the process of receiving money. the probate lawyer says I need to file a writ so I can be given the money I'm owed. I am in sjcounty--writ needs to go to san bernadino county. which writ do I use-there are alot on ''court forms'' please advise...I would like to get my money before he gets it; he'll never pay me what he owes (judgement was for theft of my credit card; person who owes me money is in prison right now) thanks for your help.

This is less than all of the info you'll need, but... 1) Get a few certified abstracts of judgment. 2) Record a copy of (1) with the SB cty recorder. 3) Get a writ of execution for SB county. 4) Read "Collect Your Judgment" in the library or courthouse law library or from nolo.com. 5) Use a professional attorney service or process serving service to do 1), 2), and/or 3). . 6) If enough $ is involved use an attorney.
