Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Hello I am writing to know what to expect for my daughter she is 20 years old never been in trouble before she works and goes to school she had friends that were a married couple with 3 small children and then a boy who is 14 from previous marriage she has been friends for over 2 years well 14 developed a crush on my daughter and she being 100% wrong reacted when he kissed her and there was some cuddling and touching of the private parts for both one time occurance no sex and parents walked in on the laying on the bed fully clothed and parents called the police and I was wondering what should we do , what should we expect and what is she looking at as a first time offender?

YOU MUST hire a lawyer for your daughter. Do not abandon her to the public defender. If she is convicted of any crime she will have a police record that will keep her from getting a job, ever; and she might even have to register as a sex offender and live out in the desert somewhere for the rest of her life. Her chances are good, I can think of a couple of defenses. I hope you taught her in advance not to talk, at all, to the police.
