Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
wrong statement
I have a sister,she is in mental treatment for more than 10 years. One day she make family scare, I would like to bring her to hospital but I called 911,police comes,I report to them that she used knife to threat my other sister.Police arrested her and put her in jail(code#245).
Questions: 1- what happen to her?
2- If I talk to the court that she never use the knife at that time ( I gave the wrong statement to the police ) then, what happen to my sister and myself.

You need to retain an attorney to represent you in this matter. Do not discuss your case with any one but an attorney, or your priest. This includes members of your family. Making a false statement to police officer is a crime. Further your sister may sue you for making a false statement about her. After discussing the matter with an attorney you will be in a better position to make a decision.
