Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Wrongfully Convicted
I was arrested in February 2004 for making a criminal threat to my sister. She lied about this situation and also admited it to several family members. I was incarcerated from February 2004 to the ending of April 2005. I was also given a strike. I have just discharged my parole on 10/22/08. What can I do about this matter. Please help?

Re: Wrongfully Convicted
You should contact an appellate lawyer to explore your options for a motion to vacate judgment in your case. The fact that you are no longer on parole is not helpful as you are not eligible for a writ of habeas corpus, but there might be some other options.
Feel free to contact me privately and I can pass on some contact information for you.
