Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Im 17 and im daing a 21 year old, but we havent doen anything sexual though becuase we are waiting. Im just wording is it illegal for us to be daiting? i will be 18 in 5 months,

Generally, the closer one party is to the age of 18, the less of an issue, but, my question to you is what is the attraction for him when you are still 17 and he at 21 is clearly on the higher edge of adult. Its not so much illegal for you two to be dating but it does raise some questions about judgment in terms of the age appropriate nature of the relationship.
