Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California
2 days ago a gang prevention unit entered my house and i woke up to a shotgun pointed at me. now the problem is when the whole thing calmed down we asked for a warrant and the Sargent said that he does not need one. the whole thing of them coming into the house was because of the previous renters. it was a family and there son was into a lot of illegal things. the kid was a heroin addict and had couple of charges on him. now the funny thing is the kid has been dead for 4 months now and we have moved into the house for almost 2 and a half months. do the police have the right to have done what they have done to us. and do i have a case against them..also i have 3 families that witnessed what occurred that morning.also one detail they were a gang prevention unit they were looking for the kid because of violation of parole.

You may have a good lawsuit for violation of your civil rights. While I don't want to minimize the fright and outrage you must have experienced, are there any other damages? Did they damage property or injure anyone? Call an attorney right away -- I'd love to hear from you -- and watch out for very short legal time limits.
