Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California
I am 54. I am being treated for my acne by a dermatologist. I have my insurance coverage from a group policy through my employer. Yesterday, I was told that my acne medication prescribed by my dermatologist required a pre-approval because I was over 34 years of age. Is this discrimination?

Sure it is. It's discrimination when you go to the deli where you like the counter person rather than the one with the surly cashier too. Neither one is illegal.
