Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

car

I've been paying for a car for 3 years now

and the car is under my ex-boyfriends

name.. he says he's gonna report it stolen

and or take it away.. but this whole time

I've been making payments on it. Is there

anything I could do? If I refinance it the

term will be longer and make it easier for

him amd not benefit me. Please help
