Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

my father filed a lawsuit against his employer in 1993 for calling him buckwheat in the high school yearbook. My father is African-American and had worked for the school district for over 20 years. He passed away 2 years ago. I was named in the law suit at the time but I was a minor. I still do not know what became of the suit. WHAT CAN I DO?

You can go to the courthouse that serves the area in which the school district or school is located. You can index the case by looking up your father's name on the computer, and then -- probably -- have the clerk pull the file. It might take a few days to retrieve it from storage. (I doubt that the documents were imaged, but that's a possibility.) Then you can review the file to see what happened. In the file, you might find the name of his lawyer and contact the lawyer, as well.
