Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

I am a minor, On Saturday November 20th, 2010 if my winter formal party bus gets pulled over by a police officer but there is no visible alcohol or any sign of people under the influence are they aloud to search our belongings and the bus itself? What are our rights?

Your parents should have taught you never to speak to the police, and never consent to a search. The cops may search anyway, but at least if they claim they found something and there are criminal charges your lawyer will be able to say the search was non-consensual.

It would depend on too many details to give you a general answer. When a traffic stop can evolve into a search of the vehicle whether that is constitutional or not is not subject to a bright line rule. It would depend on all the facts and circumstances of the stop and the search if any.
