If I go to a store and I am discriminated against by an associate (cashier) for my race, and the way I was dressed. Can I sue the store, associate? Thanks

Yes, you could sue the store under California public accommodation laws. The DFEH handles these types of matters. You can go here for more information for filing a complaint: http://www.dfeh.ca.gov/Complaints_PubAccomCompProc.htm
