Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Can i sue a company for favoritism? I work in a store at a mall and the store manager i have favors some workers only. The workers she favors are young, part a lot, drink, and have a similar social life. As three employees slack off in front of her and do nothing, me and some other hard working employees work hard and get told to do more work. I tolerated it for a while and after one of the assistant managers with the same complaint quit, the store manager promoted two of the slacking workers as assistant managers. I am not as hard working as the two workers that have the same complain as i do but, they deserved more. Their is so much evidence and 3-4 witnesses to explain this sort of discrimination. The hard working employees get yelled at as she socializes with the other slacking exployees.

Life can be unfair, as this situation is. Your are suggesting that the store manager select being hard working as a basis to favor employees, so you are not against favoritism but rather selecting traits that are disadvantgeous to the company. No legal rights are being violated. You could, without giving your name or enough information to identify yourself, contact management at the home office, but it is doubtful they wil do anything and when the manager at your store finds out she wil take it out on all three of you.
