Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

Title VII Racial Harassment/Discrimination

I have charges filed with the EEOC concerning racial/ethnic harassment on the job and retaliation. The employer has offered a ridiculous settlement offer, so I declined and requested a "Notice of Right to Sue" from the US EEOC. Although I was employed and based in Texas the employer is located in Massachusetts but the harassment occurred while on temporary duty in Southern California. Employment termination occurred in Texas. What should I do and where is the legal venue and jurisdiction? I am Asian-American.

venue for discrimination action

Just doing a quick search of the federal statutes, the general rule is you can sue in any distrcit where the company is available for service of process which essentially means where it maintains facilities in this case. This is just off the cuff and more important is that you need to contact a lawyer if you are going to file suit. that person would be in the best position to figure how and where to file suit. If you can't locate somebody, e-mail me and I will attempt to locate someone in your area
