Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California
Unlawfull termination
I was offered a job based on my 24 years experience and I accepted it. After quitting my old job I was told that female employee #1 wanted the position and that the only opening was a lower paying clerk position. Which I accepted as at-will employee.. Female #1 was now my supervisor.
Approxamitly 7 weeks later female #2 was hired. This woeman had not performed any of the tasks required in over 8 years and was computor illiterate.
I found out that female #2 had initially trained female #1 more than 12 years ago and so she was hired on the recommendation of female #1. These two woemen are very friendly and go to lunch daily.
Female #3, was a 2-day-a-week part time employee. She was unhappy in her full time job and so she was hired as full time to perform job tasks that I have performed in the past.
When the Service director let me go on Jan 25, 2002 he would not give a reason for his actions.
Do I have any recourse for discrimination?

Re: Unlawfull termination
Maybe. You do not indicate your age or gender, or the age or gender of the other women.
I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
