Legal Question in DUI Law in California

3rd DUI in 10years

If I'm convicted of a 3rd Dui can I be permitted a restricted license to drive to and from work, or will I ultimately have to lose my license completely for a period of time. The first 2 dui offenses were about 5 and 6 years ago. Will I have to go to jail if convicted or is there a way around that?

It depends on the county and your attorney. Most third DUI carry significant jail time. You should really consult an attorney who specializes in DUI like my office.

You'll be able to apply for a restricted license after a certain period of time, but that's not the kicker. As a 3rd time DUI, you will have a mandatory sentence of four months imprisonment on this charge, if convicted (or you plea out). There is no discretion to let you plea to a shorter time period.

Hiring an attorney is a must, in your circumstances.
