Legal Question in DUI Law in California

My 18 year-old son got arrested for DUI

My 18 year-old son was arrested for Drunk Driving. Prior to that he's never had any trouble with the Law. We know he has to take responsibility and pay the price for what he did but we hate to see the ''Scarlet Letter'' of DUI attatched to his name. We've heard about pleading to ''Wet Reckless.'' He has a court date for 4/10 and a Hearing with the DMV on 4/14.

Any suggestions?

Yes, call me. I have an experienced criminal lawyer on staff who will work a deal for you on this type of case. My only suggestion is that your son needs legal representation. He should not go into a situation like this without a lawyer. If you are in Southern California call me for a free legal consultation.

First, you need to get him a lawyer. Don't do this one your own, especially if there is any chance for an acquittal (based on the police report and the evidence in there). Additionaly, a "wet reckless" will be a considered a prior DUI if he's ever arrested again for a DUI. Be careful. Hire a good lawyer. Good luck. --Phil
