Legal Question in DUI Law in California

More than 3 years from conviction, still need SR22?

On Oct 13, 2001 I was arrested for DUI in Marin County (1st offense). I was

later convicted. I have since completed all the requirements for reinstatement

(payed fines, community service, and DUI school) but I have never reinstated

my license because I simply haven't needed it. Now it is exactly 3 years past

the date of my arrest and I am considering reinstating my license. Will I still

need to file an SR22 and maintain it for 3 years from this point forward?

Thank you for your help.

Everyone must have proof of insurance to get a license and to license a motor vehicle. You will not doubt have to provide proof of insurance to the dmv and that will most likely by way of an SR22 form.
