Legal Question in DUI Law in California

My boyfriend is in probation doing going to school for his dui in orange county, he already did class for another dui in LA county. He drove my car to work with no license yet and got into a small bumper to bumper, i have full coverage on my car. I want to know if my car would be insured and what will happen to my boyfriend if the owner of the other car makes a claim to his insurance.

If you let someone with no license drive your car, and there is an accident, the insurance would likely be invalid, and you could be liable for up to millions of dollars in damages for Negligent Entrustment of a vehicle.

It doesn't sound like this is a million dollar case because it was only a fender bender.

However, it's impossible to know if your insurance will cover it without reviewing your policy.

Your insurance rates will almost certainly go up for letting a unlicensed, repeat drunk driver use your car.

Don't even think about trying to claim he stole the car. You could be criminally prosecuted for insurance fraud.
