Legal Question in DUI Law in California

driver license question

I am a resident of California, but a student in Florida. Over winter break, I was arrested for DUI in CA. My license was confiscated and I was given a notice of suspension/temp. lecense. When I returned to FL about a week later, I went to the DL bureau here, surrendered my CDL and got a Florida license. So now the case comes up--what will happen with my license? Will I have to complete the CA court's suspension req's?

Re: driver license question

I don't know if the various states are exchanging information yet on drivers records. You've gotten a Florida license, and if you tell them they may simple suspend your Florida license. I'm not licensed to practice law there. So I think you will need a Florida attorney to advise you. Ultimately I think it will get down to how honest you want to be.
