Legal Question in DUI Law in California

DUI/ immigration

Trying to help out a friend who got a DUI but is an illigal. He got a court date but is trying to debate to go cause he had no proof of anything at the time of the arrest. meaning that he had no id or license and thinks that by going to court he can get deported. What can i tell him?

Tell him if he gets an attorney, he likely will not have to go to court at all. That will make him feel more comfortable, and he should have representation in this type of matter regardless.
