Legal Question in DUI Law in California
DUI Procedures
I was recently pulled over for a DUI. After talking to an attorney I decided to represent myself in court but would like to find out the procedures of the court so I know what I am talking about and can respond without questioning thier questions first. I have looked at a few places on the web and can't seem to find anything that has helped yet.

Unless you have some experience with procedure, you may be biting off more than you can chew. If you are set on going on your own, there are a variety of texts in your local law library that address procedures for common actions in court. D.U.I. is one of the more widely written topics. Check out your local law library. It is usually in or near the same building where the courts are found. I would still caution you on doing this yourself. Your opponent will be a skilled practioner who has probably done this dozens of times.
Re: DUI Procedures
criminal procedure can be a tricky area of the law to handle pro se. if you truly want to represent yourself, you may want to look up criminal procedure in california in a search engine or your local law book store. if not, you may want to reconsider having an attorney or at least the public defender represent you if you qualify. hope this helps.
