Legal Question in DUI Law in California

I have a friend that he has to go court, can I go insted him to ask the Jude for extesion , he is afraid to go because he dot have a lawyer rigth now , the case is to drive with out licence, the situation is that he has a prior ticket to ride a bike with out a light an he didnt show up for that one, he is afraid to be deported if he shows up, with out the lawyer, we have no money at thre moment thank you, and also did I have any risks doing so. . . bye

You can't go to court "instead of" somebody, because you don't have a license to practice law.
