Legal Question in DUI Law in California
Informal probation violation
My boyfriend is due in court for violating his informal probation by not paying his vehicle registration, which he was unaware was due. He paid off his registration immediately and has been in court approximately three times in the past several months because the court keeps saying they don't have a record of his court date every time he shows up. He is due in court again, and is worried he will be sent to jail for violating his probation, which is a result of a DUI. Does he have sufficient documentation to object to the charges after paying his registration and having to continually show up in court as a result of their incompetence?

Re: Informal probation violation
When you show up in court, and there is no record of your court date, have the clerk give you a piece of paper with the date stamped. Say you need it for your work and they will give you one.
