How Long A DUI Is On Record

Hello, I'd like to know how long a DUI stays on my record. I am being considered for a job, and they're doing a background check to see if I have any felony's and/or misdemeanor's. I had a DUI 9 years ago and am wondering if they'll find-out. (I checked the ''NO'' box where the application asked if I have any felony's or misdemeanor's and am now worried...) Thank You.

The DUI conviction stays on your record forever. There may be a way to have the misdemeanor conviction sealed if you were a juvenile at the time, or removed from your record under Penal Code Section 1203.4.
