Minor in Possession

Is the punishment worse for an MIP if I choose to fight it. Or will I get the same punishment as if I had just pleaded guilty. I was drinking on the corner of a friend's house then walked back towards the door. As I reached the door, two police officers grabbed and pulled me out into the street, where I was cited with the MIP.

No, the punishment is not worse if you fight the case. The court cannot impose additional punishment for you requiring the people to prove its case. Of course, hiring an attorney will cost you more then the fine. Good Luck!
