Legal Question in DUI Law in California
probable cause for d.u.i
yes i live in stockton california and got charged with a 3rd d.u.i on april 20th on wison way.i was turning right out of a.m p.m store going north onto wilson way when i got pulled over.the arresting officer had told me he stopped me for going the wrong way on a one way street and their was a sign stating no right turn...well the sign was letting drivers know not to turn left since the street coming up is a one way street which is market st which traffic goes east on that street} and i explained to the officer that wilson way is not a one way street but he swore up and down that it was..i called c.h.p they had told me that the arresting officer had pulled me over for going down a one way street and that from what else i understood he had put down south market street and theirs no south market street it runs east and west.so i called the tow company and they had said they towed my car from channel street which is about 4 blocks north from market.so im kinda thinking the officer is trying his best to come up with some kind of probable cause for pulling me over.so based on this information i got and for the fact i does he have probable cause for stopping me and what are my chances for getting the d.u.i dropped.thanks

Re: probable cause for d.u.i
You need to get a copy of the police report, this report is obtained from the district attorney's office. Then review the report with an attorney. This attorney will in a better position to give you an opinion.
