Legal Question in DUI Law in California

i am seperated from my husband but have a legal question. He was charged with a DUI in 2005 and now he has been involved in a hit and run. He is being charged by the Burbank DA with a mistomenor hit and run. He also lied on the police report and the detective said so in his report. The detective also noted that the car was impounded and alcohol smell was coming from the interior of the car. What does he face and can he still be charged with DUI if he left the scene ?

Whether he stays at the scene or left has nothing to do as to whether he was drunk at the time of the accident. As to what charges he faces that is up to the DA. I would suggest that you not get involved. He is a danger if he drives while drunk and not a honest person if he leaves the accident scene.
