Will insurance cover a DUI accident?

My dad just got in a DUI accident. He

totaled both his car and the other

person's car. He was injured, and the

3 people in the other car we injured.

My dad has full car insurance, but I

heard that when the accident is

caused by a DUI, the insurance

company might not have to cover

you... Is that true?

Yes, the auto insurance will cover the accident. Also, even though Dad was DUI this does not automatically make the accident his fault. Maybe he will need to consult a personal injury lawyer, as well as a criminal defense lawyer, after he receives treatment for his injuries.
