Legal Question in Education Law in California
As an 18 year-old in a California public highschool what rights do I have concerning closed campus, absences, and other issues relating to my presence in school?

While you are "legally" an adult, you are still compelled as a high school student to follow your particular school or school district's rules on the issues of closed campus, unexcused absences and attendance matters. High school graduation, rather than merely turning 18 is the true line between childhood and adulthood, if you are still attending school.
