Legal Question in Education Law in California

audio tapes

I was recently involved in a private meeting at my university that was audio recorded. I was made aware it was being recorded and I was the subject of the meeting. Do I have the right to ask for a copy of that recording?

Re: audio tapes

Please send me an email for additional information. Universities in North America are required to obtain informed consent before they gather data, including information from taped conversations. If you were only informed that the "meeting" was to be recorded, then the university is in violation (regardless of the reason for taping the meeting) and you have a cause of action.
