Right to inform

i was wondering if a teacher had the right to inform parents of their child being sexually active even if the student told them not to tell.

Hello.

Presuming that the child is under 18, and presuming that the information obtained by the teacher was from the child or a 3rd person, I respond as follows:

The teacher does not owe the student any enforcable duty of "teacher student privelege" as no such privelege exists under California law!

Attorney client, Doctor Patient, Priest penetant, but NOT teacher student. sorry.
