Legal Question in Education Law in California

private school/inflication of emotional abuse /contract violations

my 6 yr old son attended a (very expensive) private school this year for kindergarten. i felt assured that the school would be offering him the best in education, social experience and care; promoting itself as providing a curriculum and faculty committed to integrity, kindness and respect. soon into the year i became aware of the shortcomings of the academic component, but continued to trust in the overall quality of the program. my son's moral character was praised by the faculty. his behavior towards others is fair and honest; manners are exemplary, (my older son is 24, his politeness, respect and good manners; give him a outstanding reputation in our community). in the final 3 days of kindergarten the school showed me another side of itself, i remain agast with their hypocrisy; as they intentionally inflicted wrong upon my child and then told me blantant lies-failing to disclose the incident, leaving me to hear of it from the other mothers, making my child suffer from internalising their wrong-doing/evil, he didn't tell me because he felt such shame. my legal issue regards a contract and tuition for next year, and i want my $15,000 back from this year...damages and liabilty. please inform how to get my be refunded.

Re: private school/inflication of emotional abuse /contract violations

I do appreciate you taking the time to explain the background to your situation. However I regret that I am unable to give you some advice and/or guidance without more information. With regards to next years tuition, if your child does not attend that school again, why would you have to pay them? Is an automatic renewal contract in play? Also, you may be able to get some or all of your money back for this past year, but without knowing what this school actually did, I can not advise you on how to go about doing that.

I would be willing to discuss some of the issues concerning your experience to see if there may be legal justification to pursue your case.

I offer prospective clients an initial consultation of 30 minutes for free.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Yours truly,

Bryan
