Legal Question in Elder Law in California
My 80 yo mother needs me to evict my abusive 56yo brother but I am not the homeowner. If she gives me temp POA, cqn I then EVICT him legally?

Yes and no. You can act on her behalf, but you cannot appear for her or represent her interests in court. If your brother is abusing her, and even simply refusing to leave her home and forcing her to let him live there constitutes elder abuse, you should contact your local district atttorney's elder abuse department. They will almost certainly be more productive in this situation than you trying to do it alone.
