Legal Question in Elder Law in California
attorney procedure
why would the initial attorney retained too handle 3 lawsuits hire an additional law firm for assistance. will not cost client any additional percentage upon completition of cases. hard to understand.

because the other attorney may be a litigator or have other specialized skills necessary for your case. it could also happen if your attorney had calendar conflicts.

There could be many different possible reasons:
1. Too busy to handle properly
2. Not have enough expertise
3. Want assistances
4. Does not handle trials
And there can be many other reasons.
