Legal Question in Elder Law in California
My aunt owns her home. She also is on Medical and Medicare. If she is put into a nursing home, does the state have access to take ownership of her home, or other personal property?

No, they are not entitled to be reimbursed until her death, and there are legitimate ways to avoid the reimbursement, so I'd recommend talking with an attorney experienced in Medi-Cal matters to see what options she, or those acting on her behalf, have.
