Legal Question in Elder Law in California
Buying a home from my mom
We have no down payment, so we will pay her a dollar amount per month. She will pay off the remaining mortgage, and own the property out right, but hold a lein on the property. We will be liable for the property taxes, ins, and anything else the property may need. If she should need to be taken care of by Med-cal, will we have to sell the property immediatly? will we be able to get out our equity. Help please. We are very confused. What type of Lawyer should we seek out for more answers.
