Legal Question in Elder Law in California
Dogs Allowed in Apartments
My dog was stolen 3 years ago. I would like to get another dog but don't want to have a problem with my landlord. I live in a seniors only (55+) apartment complex. There a few cats living here - legally I presume. Are there any laws that say seniors specifically are (or are not) allowed to have small dogs as companions? Thank you for your time.

No, it is a matter of negotiation.
