Legal Question in Elder Law in California

driving license revoked by DA's office in Orange County, CA.

I am 62 years old and have an ex-wife who I owe past child support monies of about $30,000 to. Orange County is her address and I live in Santa Cruz area. I need to get my drivers license back and I would like to have any court appearances be in Santa Cruz County. I am presently broke and homeless except for the kindness of a friend who allows me a space to sleep. I am taking a risk of being arrested and incarcerated if I am caught driving, but I have no other way to get around and do my business. I have not been successful but occassionally have made enough money to get by. Employment is not available to me because of this legal problem and also because I am too old. Next month I am applying for my social security retirement benefits. Is there any way that I can get on my feet financially and get my drivers license back?

Why was your Driver's License revoked?

You should start out by visiting the closest DMV, and ask them what you need to do to get the license re-instated. They will give you the reason it was revoked and what you need to do.
