Legal Question in Elder Law in California
my elderly mother lives with me...when she dies am I responsible for any lawsuits/pending litigation she may have against her "predators"/ perpetrators/ offenders (sex offenders, thieves, peeping toms, cowardly harassers, stalkers, etc.) ?

Any claims that a person has when they pass away become property of the decedent's estate, provided the claims survive the decedent's passing. The executor or administrator of the estate is responsible for deciding how to handle those claims.
