Legal Question in Elder Law in California

grant deed/joint tenancy

My son'signature is short(he uses his intials KMS). If we both (my son and I) sign a grant deed in joint tenancy can finger prints be added to the grant deed to make my son's identity more visible. Especially after I am dead and only his signature is required on the deed. Identity fraud is becoming more prevalent,I would think this is becoming a more common thing to do.
