Keeping an outsider away from fathers estate
My father has alzheimers and his girlfriend will not let him have anything to do with his family..he says they are getting married in the future..my dad's girlfriend is a very evil person..I am just afraid they will be married and my sister and I will never see or hear from him again until he dies, then she will aquire his entire estate? you're probably right. whenever someone isolates another, you can bet there are problems. You need to become your father's conservator fast. Even if they got marriage it may be voidable because of lack of capacity, but working after the fact is always more difficult. Prevent it from happening by seeking appointment as his conservator.
