Mail Tampering
Is it lawful for my volunteer helper to hide my personal mail addressed to me. Can the helper open and screen what I can receive without my permission or authority.

No. It is a federal crime. You could contact the U.S. Postal Inspector, in care of your local Postmaster. If you want me to write you a letter to test whether or not you receive it, that would be fine, no charge.
