Legal Question in Elder Law in California
my mother lives alone and thinks she is fine but she is doing things that are not appropriate, I have called adult protective services but they won't help. I don't know where to go or what to do. Can you help?

This site does not provide legal services. You need to contact an elder care and estate planning attorney to see about whether obtaining a conservatorship over your mother would be appropriate.
This is such a difficult situation and very common. You could move in with your mom, or have her move in with you. Will she allow an aide or someone to come in the house and check up on her? Can a neighbor check on her? There's no easy answer to this problem. Did you speak to mom's doctor? Hopefully at least you have a Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy for mom
Good luck.
