Power Of Attorney
I need to know wether or not I need to get my mother to sign a Power of Attorney. What type of form do I need? She is in the first stage of Alzhiemers Disease.

She can sign (and have notarized) a durable power of attorney form--this can be from a stationery store, but an attorney-drafted one would be better. Also, there are two kinds--one for health care and one for property/finances.
She can sign the document as long as she understands what it is and what it is for. If not, you will probably need a conservatorship proceeding to have someone take care of her.
